Can I commision a painting?

Yes, you can commission your individual painting! Please contact me by sending me an email (studio@sophiesoyer.com) or filling out the contact form on my website to discuss the commission process and costs.

Which painting media do you use?

I mainly work with oils and watercolours. The high-quality of my paints and painting surfaces is very important to me. Not only does it make the painting process more beautiful and relaxed, but also guarantees that the picture retains its brilliant colours for a long time without fading or yellowing.

Why should I order extra varnish when buying a print?

If you've decided to order a print from one of my paintings, I recommend to add "additional varnish" to your order. You will find this option listed as an extra item in the prints section on my website.

Varnish is a protective layer on the surface, which I also use on all my original paintings. It is a clear coat that protects the image from dirt and environmental influences. In addition to this, the varnish brings this fine-art feeling to your print, adding gentle brush strokes and texture as it is applied by hand.

How is my order going to be shipped?

All artwork will be shipped using a carrier providing a tracking number service, so you can track your parcel as it makes its way to you.

You can choose between two shipping methods: shipping with insurance up to a value of € 500.- and shipping with insurance up to a value of € 2500.- (Germany) or € 2000.- (EU and rest of the world).

Any taxes or duties are at expense to the purchaser.

Your piece of art is going to be wrapped both in paper and bubble wrap and sent in a fitting cardboard box to protect it from getting damaged.

How long will my order take to arrive?

The shipping time depends on your location. I will give you an estimated shipping time after I have received your order.

If you ordered a print with additional varnish, please allow a little extra time for delivery, as the varnish will have to be completely dry before being wrapped and sent.

Can I return my order?

All sales of artwork are final.

In the unlikely case that your purchase arrives damaged please make the courier aware upon receipt and get in touch with me by sending an email to studio@sophiesoyer.com. I'm sure we'll find a solution!

Please keep in mind that all computer and mobile phone monitors display colour differently. The colours of the original painting or print may vary slightly from the image on screen.

To get a better idea of what the painting will look like on your own walls, please take measurements of each painting according to the dimensions given on my website.
