Inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer's  The Monarch of the Glen this painting shows a red stag in all its pride and dignity. Its fur catching the light of the setting sun, which also reflects on the animal's mighty antlers. In the background a soft mountain silhouette is depicted in a reduced colour palette, which puts the focus back on this beautiful creature.
